Understanding the Messiah

Kingdom and Judge

The entire Bible is a textbook about the Messiah. If so, we shouldn’t begin with the last third of the Bible (i.e., the New Testament), but with the beginning. As we work through the Bible, we discover that God’s promised Deliverer (the Messiah) would be a Prophet, a Priest, and a King. Only when these offices or roles are understood can Jesus be brought into focus. It not only helps us understand His actions in the past, in the present, and in the future, but it also sheds light on His coming Kingdom.
